Try any product sold here in your home for a full 60 days from date of shipment. *

  If, for any reason, the product does not meet your expectations, you may then return it to us for a refund.*

  After inspection of the returned merchandise, we refund your purchase price (less shipping and installation charges, if any) of any ionizer or emitter displayed on our web site*.

Historically, the return rate on our air purifier products is less than one-half of one percent. That is a fact, and it testifies to the satisfaction of our ionizer customers.

But if you purchase something from us and do want to return it, you should contact us for instructions and a return authorization number first.
   NOTE: Returned product(s) must be received by us within seventy calendar days of invoice date (or the day we shipped it to you, if that happens to be later than the invoice date) in like-new, saleable condition with all original packaging, manuals, ion detector, ion emitter(s)**, and any other accessories shipped with the product. Before returning anything to us, you must first contact us for authorizations and instructions. We reserve the right to refuse items returned without prior authorization.

DAMAGE CLAIMS

All claims for missing items or items that have arrived with visible damage due to mishandling in shipment must be made within ten business days from the date we shipped your product to you. The shipping companies have time limitations after which they will not process a claim.

* 60-day money-back policy applies to any standard product displayed or sold on this web site. In other words, if we custom design a special project for your special and/or commercial application or installation, returns may be subject to a restocking fee OR only covered under our warranty for materials and workmanship (that is, it/they may not be returnable for a refund or credit), at the sole discretion of Comtech Research LLC. If in doubt, just ask before ordering.
eBay purchases do not have a 60-Day return policy.

* Increasingly, some people with unclear motives are apparently shopping for products with little or no intention of keeping what they purchased. We are not in the business of "renting" the products that we offer. Although we have never charged anyone a restocking fee (from the time that we opened in 1989 to today [July 2014]), we reserve the right to do so in the future as we see fit, to help keep our prices low.

** The ion detector and emitter(s) must also be returned to qualify for any refund. Ionizers returned to us without the ion detector and emitter(s) will be returned to the customer and no refund will be issued. We started enforcing this policy after several persons ordered an ionizer just to get the free detector, and then returned the ionizer to us (now only saleable for a fraction of its original cost), for a refund.

Comtech Research LLC warrants the following products, if used in accordance with all applicable instructions, to be free from original defects in material and workmanship for a period of five full years from the date of initial purchase:

• IG-133 ionizer
• IG-133A ionizer
• IG-133DG ionizer and DustGrabber combo
• DC-2 DustGrabber
• IG-1215 ionizer
• Ion detectors (IDN-1 and IDS-2 Ion Sniffer^™)

Manufacturer's Warranties:

Five Years:

• FIVE YEAR manufacturer's warranty on FanHandler products.
   
• Extended FIVE YEAR limited mfg. materials warranty on electronic ballasts in standard Air Probe Sanitizers^TM.
   After initial Air Probe Sanitizer warranty period expires, a rebuilding charge applies (at our cost).  These low out-of-warranty rebuild costs are only available to customers who initially purchased the Air Probe Sanitizer from us. ‡
  
   Rebuilding includes a new electronic ballast, new electrical wiring, new lamp sockets, and any other necessary new electrical parts. (Basically, when that's done, it'll be a brand-new unit).
  
  Rebuilding charge is just $125 for dual-8" lamp units, and just $150 for dual-16" lamp units plus actual insured shipping and/or tracking costs. ‡

Three Years:

• Three-Year Manufacturer's warranty on Air Oasis™ Air Purifiers
• Three-Year Manufacturer's warranty on
  the GreenAir™ Machine

Two Years:

• All Air Probe Sanitizer™ residential models (5-year electronic ballast warranty, see above), Including UV-C Lamps. Inexpensive after-warranty rebuild services available.

One Year:

The following quality products (made by others) have a one-year warranty, even though we fully expect them to last a long time, too:

• AS-1250B-N and IG-1202 Car Ionizers
• Wearable Personal ionizer

If the above product(s) should prove defective in material or workmanship within the stated warranty period, seller will repair or replace the product, in its sole discretion. This Warranty also covers damage to the products caused by power surges that do not cause visible damage upon our inspection. Service under this Warranty can only be obtained by your delivering or shipping the product (with all shipping or delivery charges prepaid) to: Comtech Research LLC, 352 Lawrence CR 1127, South Greenfield, MO 65752. Seller will pay return shipping charges to customer. Contact us for instructions before sending anything back. This Warranty does not apply to normal wear or to damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse or neglect. Seller makes no express warranties other than the warranty expressly set forth herein. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, all implied warranties, including all warranties of merchantability or fitness, are limited in duration to the warranty period set forth above; and this warranty expressly excludes all incidental and consequential damages. We assume no responsibility for any labor or freight cost either in connection with or separate from any installation or removal. (Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and some states do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.)

We are happy to answer any questions about our warranties or products you might have either before or after your purchase.

‡ If you did NOT purchase the Air Probe Sanitizer from us, then the retail out-of-warranty rebuilding charge is $275.00 (plus insured shipping and/or tracking costs) for all standard residential models.

  Of course, these prices may eventually change. However, we will keep them as low as we can as a long-term courtesy to our customers.

UL will not permit us to sell any Air Probe Sanitizer parts except replacement lamps and fuses. Sorry.
